3 Tips on How to Be Funny

1. Use Sarcasm- Being too straightforward is a flaw in most people. If you want to keep other people’s minds active, throw them some irony and sarcasm to keep them thinking. However, when someone asks you something, don’t overdo the sarcasm. This takes wit and timing, so go to social events so you can practice.

2. Don’t criticize people in the room- If you are going to try to be funny, don’t attempt to deride qualities of people in the vicinity. This can easily backfire and start an argument with the end result of you looking foolish. Instead, think of daily themes that you know people can relate to. If around only guys, you can make jokes about girls, and if around only girls, you can joke about guys. This way, nobody gets hurt from your clowning and everyone wins.

The Levitation Magic Trick

Have you ever seen a magician make someone float in the air? Do you ever wonder how it was done? Well, with some help, you can perform this magic trick and amaze your audience.

For this trick to work, you need a special type of couch that has a secret compartment where the person can slide into and stay in until the trick is over. You can ask for a volunteer from the audience or just let your assistant help you by letting them sit in a reclining position and then covering them with a piece of cloth.

After some time, you command that person to rise and once she has risen to a height about a foot from the couch, you remove the couch and walk around that person. Unknown to the audience, the person does not really levitate. The magic secrets revealed – what they see is simply a mesh like screen that is shaped like the body of the subject and not the subject. The person has hidden in the couch already.

Humor Can Be Found Almost Anywhere You Look

Life is and of itself is absolutely wonderful, especially when you consider all of the humor one experiences on any day. Given the state of the American economy with record mortgage foreclosures, mountains of credit card debt and job loss, people need humor and laughter, just to keep from crying.

On a recent family trip to take care of chores for our family, my wife and two young children filed into our SUV and headed out to pay a few bills, stop by the post office and go to the bank. The fun began when I requested my wife drop off a couple of letters in the post office while I maneuvered through the parking lot.

I asked my kids, how long do you think its going to take mom to go in the post office, drop the letters in the mail and return to our vehicle? My two young kids laughed and said, its going to take a long time.
