The old method of producing a 3-D image on your TV screen involves those old red and blue glasses. Direct TV says that their HD 3-D TV incorporates glasses that switch between left and right oriented images at a rate of 120 Hz. This is much faster than the brain is able to process the images and so the viewer doesn’t notice the switching at all.
